Hozier leaves the church and heads to the jungle on his new song "Better Love" from "The Legend of Tarzan" movie. After teasing it with a preview earlier this week, the Irish singer premiered the song in full along with its music video on Thursday, June 16.

On the rock/soul tune, Hozier is heard singing over the dramatic instrumental, "Some better love, but there's no better love/ That beckons above me and there's no better love/ That ever has loved me, there's no better love." The music video, meanwhile, shows him performing the song on a piano in between footage from the film.

"The Legend of Tarzan" is hitting theaters across the country on July 1. Alexander Skarsgard stars as the title character, who after leaving the jungles of Africa for years to live an aristocratic life in London, is now invited back to the Congo Free State to serve as a trade emissary of the House of Commons, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the corrupt Belgian Captain Leon Rom.

Samuel L. Jackson, Margot Robbie, Djimon Hounsou and Christoph Waltz are among other names set to appear in the David Yates-directed film.

Of his involvement in the movie, Hozier said, "I was excited about the opportunity and the challenge of writing for this film project. After viewing an early edit, I was struck by the theme of endurance, and endurance of love through such a hostile environment. I wanted the song to be an intimate reassurance as spoken from one lover to another - one that might be issued in hardship or doubt."
