As "X-Men: Apocalypse" is heading to theaters, chatters about the next installment and possible spin-off begin. Producer Simon Kinberg teases during a press conference at the "Apocalypse" premiere that the sequel will be set in the 90s.

The first "X-Men" movies were set in the early 2000 before it got revamped with "X-Men: First Class" which returned to the 60s. "X-Men: Days of Future Past" later chronicled the events in 1970s before Apocalypse wreaked havoc in 1980s.

Kinberg confirms that Prof. X will appear in the spin-off that is rumored to feature Wolfsbane, Mirage, Cannonball, Sunspot, Magik and Warlock. Maisie Williams and Anya Taylor-Joy are reportedly eyed for the flick.
