AceShowbiz - Lots of police officers got in "Formation" when Beyonce Knowles returned to her hometown of Houston over the weekend for a concert on her ongoing tour. Members of the Pasadena Police Department and the Coalition for Police and Sheriffs (C.O.P.S.) held a silent protest on Saturday, May 7 outside the NRG Stadium where the singer's concert was taking place.
"Some of her performances we believe to be anti-police," member Tony Ragsdale said to local TV station KHOU11 of the protest, which found the cops carrying a Captain America poster and shining a blue light towards the venue. He apparently referred to Bey's "Formation" music video and her performance of the song during the Super Bowl earlier this year.

The former Destiny's Child singer received quite a backlash after dropping the visuals earlier this year and delivering a live rendition of the track at the big game while dressed as Black Panthers. However, she has denied speculations about her being anti-police, saying in an interview last month, "Anyone who perceives my message as anti-police is completely mistaken."
"I have so much admiration and respect for officers and the families of the officers who sacrifice themselves to keeps us safe. But let's be clear: I am against police brutality and injustice. Those are two separate things," she continued.
