The 'Sangria' hitmaker says the song 'Go Ahead and Break My Heart' is 'very personal for both of us because, you know, we obviously have this bond that is remarkable together.'

AceShowbiz - Blake Shelton opens up to ET about his duet song with girlfriend Gwen Stefani in his upcoming album "If I'm Honest". The "Sangria" hitmaker says he and Gwen both collaborated on the songwriting process "Go Ahead and Break My Heart".
"[The song] is very personal for us both because, you know, we obviously have this bond that is remarkable together," Blake reveals. "But the fact that we wrote a song together... I know that I don't co-write that much because I'm very insecure about it I guess and [Gwen's] kind of got her circle of people that she writes with. But for us to reach out to each other as writers, it may never happen again, who knows."
He adds, "I hesitate to brag on it too much but I really think that it's as good of a song as I've ever written in my life."
Gwen recently revealed her collaboration with Blake by sharing the back of her boyfriend's album case on Twitter. "Look what I found lying round the house! #ispymyname #goaheadandbreakmyheart @blakeshelton #eeeekkkk! #crazy!" she wrote alongside the snap.
Blake explains, "We finally got a mock-up of the album, what the artwork was going to look like. And we flip it over and it has all the songs. I said, 'You know what? Take a picture of that and tweet it.' It'll be our way to announce that yes, we have a duet together."
On Thursday, April 21, Gwen posted a photo of her advance copy of "If I'm Honest", captioning it, "Hi new music @blakeshelton #watermarked #dontleakitgwen #ifimhonest Gx."
