Maisie Williams is apparently heading to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Along with Anya Taylor-Joy, the "Game of Thrones" actress is reportedly joining the cast of the studio's upcoming "X-Men" spin-off, "The New Mutants".

HitFix, which first reported the news, says that Williams is on board the project as Wolfsbane, better known as Rahne Sinclair. Taylor-Joy, meanwhile, is "stepping up to play Illya Rasputin a.k.a. Magik." So far, no official confirmation regarding the castings has been made.

The site goes on claiming that the team of mutants will also include Alexandra Shipp's Storm, who'll make her big-screen debut in this summer's "X-Men: Apocalypse", and James McAvoy's Professor X. Samuel Guthrie a.k.a. Cannonball, Roberto da Costa a.k.a. Sunspot and Dani Moonstar a.k.a. Mirage are other characters planned to appear in the film, but there's still no word on who will play them.

No release date has been set for "The New Mutants", but there's a chance you'll see it arriving in 2018. Directed by Josh Boone, the superhero flick follows a group of young mutants who study and train at the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters.
