Pink Gives Shout-Out to Women Who Use Brains Instead of Bodies. A Diss at Kim Kardashian?

Amid controversy over the reality TV star's nude pictures, the singer takes to Twitter to give shout-out to women who use 'their brains' instead of their 'tits and asses.'

AceShowbiz - Pink doesn't seem to be a fan of Kim Kardashian's nude photos. The singer apparently took a subtle jab at the reality TV star in an inspiring message she shared on Twitter Tuesday, March 8 as part of International Women's Day.

In the post, Pink gave shout-out to "all of the women, across the world" who use "their brains, their strength, their work ethic, their talent, their 'magic' that they were born with, that only they possess." She continued with what many believed was a diss aimed at Kim, "It may not ever bring you as much 'attention' or bank notes as using your body, your sex, your tits and asses, but women like you don't need that kind of 'attention.' "

"In the quiet moments, you will feel something deeper than the fleeting excitement resulting from attention, you will feel something called pride and self respect. Keep on resisting the urge to cave. You'll never have to make silly excuses for yourself," she added.

Pink's message came amid controversy over Kim's nude selfies. In the past few days, the mother of two shared on her social media accounts a couple of pictures showing her stripping down to her birthday suit.

The snaps received mixed responses from fans and fellow celebrities. Some people like Bette Midler and Chloe Moretz criticized the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star while the others, including Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus, thought there's nothing wrong with women going completely naked.

Reacting to the controversy, Kim shared earlier on Tuesday an essay in which she defended herself from critics. "In all seriousness, I never understand why people get so bothered by what other people choose to do with their lives," she wrote. "I don't do drugs, I hardly drink, I've never committed a crime - and yet I'm a bad role model for being proud of my body?"

"I am empowered by my body. I am empowered by my sexuality. I am empowered by feeling comfortable in my skin. I am empowered by showing the world my flaws and not being afraid of what anyone is going to say about me," she continued.

After Pink posted the message, some of her followers pointed out that she had also gone nude in the past. She shared what might be her response to the criticism in a separate tweet that read, "Last one for the evening: you are all entitled to your opinions and feelings and I am open to hear all of it. But it won't change my mind."
