New on-set pictures from "Luke Cage" have emerged to tide fans over the show's premiere in late this year. Taken during the filming in New York City on January 14, the photos which were obtained by Getty Images show the title character, played by Mike Colter, getting into a scuffle with cops.
Apparently resisting arrest, he starts a fight with two NYPD police officers who are pointing their guns to him. His jacket shows evidence of bullet wounds, but he manages to take down the two cops and is later seen wearing a police jacket.
The "Luke Cage" series centers on the title character who, after a sabotaged experiment that leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But he is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city--forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.
A "Marvel's Jessica Jones" promo picture recently hinted that the new series might arrive in November, but the exact date is still unknown.
