After a new conspiracy that reunited Mulder and Scully, the former finds himself in danger as he's attacked by a henchman.

AceShowbiz - "The X-Files" was reopened in the premiere of the revival on Sunday night, January 24. The first part of the premiere saw Mulder and Scully being reunited after [SPOILER ALERT!] Tad O'Malley (Joel McHale) sought their help to uncover what he believed to be a big conspiracy that could lead to World War III.
Tad introduced the two to Sveta (Annett Mahendru), who claimed she had been abducted several times and impregnated by aliens. After running tests on her, Scully concluded that Tad was a liar, but Tad insisted on telling the stories on his show. On the next day, Sveta told media that Tad paid her to tell lies about alien abductions to boast his show.
Just when it appeared that the case was solved, Sveta's car was blown up. Scully also admitted to Mulder that she retested both her and Sveta's blood and she found alien DNA in both samples.
Fortunately, fans don't have to wait too long to watch the new episode. The second part of the premiere airs Monday, January 25 at 8/7c on FOX. A preview for the new episode shows Mulder being attacked by someone who is apparently sent to stop him from investigating the X-Files.
According to the official synopsis, when a scientist suddenly commits suicide, Mulder and Scully investigate what unseen force may have driven him to it. What they uncover is a laboratory where extreme genetic experimentation has been going on for decades, breeding subjects who possess unexpected and dangerous powers - and who harbor deep resentments.
