Panic At the Disco Tops Billboard 200 for the First Time With 'Death of a Bachelor'

Ten years after they first visited the chart with 'A Fever You Can't Sweat Out', the band earns their first No. 1 record and their biggest sales week to date.

AceShowbiz - Panic At the Disco finally has a No. 1 album on Billboard 200. Ten years after they first visited the chart with "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out" that peaked at No. 13 back in 2006, the band has their latest record called "Death of a Bachelor" landed atop the list with 190,000 equivalent album units collected in the week ending January 22, according to Nielsen Music.

With 169,000 in pure album sales, "Death" gives Brendon Urie and Co. their biggest sales week to date. That number easily surpasses the 139,000 copies sold by "Pretty. Odd." to reach No. 2 in 2008 and the 84,000 copies earned by their previous LP "Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die" to start also at No. 2 in 2013.

Next on Billboard 200 this week, Adele's "25" and Justin Bieber's "Purpose" stay at No. 2 and No. 3 with 147,000 and 91,000 units respectively. Last week's first placer David Bowie's "Blackstar", meanwhile, slips to No. 4 with 90,000 in its second week. Twenty One Pilots' "Blurryface" closes out the top 5 with another 45,000 units.

At No. 6 is the "Kidz Bop 31" album that debuts with 45,000 units including 43,000 in traditional album sales. Another David Bowie project, "Best of Bowie", falls from No. 4 to No. 7 with 43,000. Chris Stapleton's "Traveller" drops one rung to No. 8 with 41,000.

Making up the rest of the top 10 are The Weeknd's "Beauty Behind the Madness" which bows at No. 9 with 34,000 and Bryson Tiller's "T R A P S O U L" that sits at No. 10 with 31,000.
