The Professor X depicter reveals how his character goes bald in the upcoming superhero movie, saying that he goes through 'something so horrible and painful.'

AceShowbiz - Fans have already known that Professor X will be bald at some points in the upcoming "X-Men: Apocalypse". In a recent interview on "The Graham Norton Show" to talk about his film "Victor Frankenstein", the professor himself, James McAvoy, revealed the reasons why his character would be bald in the upcoming X-Men movie.

When Graham Norton asked him whether there's a good reason Professor Charles Xavier goes bald, McAvoy gave a tentative answer. "He ends up going through something so horrible and painful that he literally half pulls his hair out half... it falls out. Maybe or maybe not," he coyly replied.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" follows the titular antagonist played by Oscar Isaac as he sets out to recruit a team of powerful mutants to vanish humanity and take over the world. Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Beast (Nicholas Hoult) and the professor are teaming up to fight against the villain and save mankind from complete destruction.

Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, Evan Peters, Lucas Till, Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner, Ben Hardy, Tye Sheridan, Olivia Munn and Lana Condor also star. Directed by Bryan Singer, "Apocalypse" is set to open in the U.S. on May 27, 2016.
