Styles awkwardly smiled and scratched his nose when James Corden asked him if some lyrics from the 'MITAM' song were referring to Swift.

Still need proof that One Direction's "Perfect" is about Taylor Swift? Her ex-boyfriend Harry Styles himself has apparently just confirmed that the latest single off the band's just-released "Made in the A.M." album was, at least partly, crafted with the pop superstar in mind.

Sitting alongside his bandmates at the recent Apple Music event in London, Styles looked super uneasy when host James Corden brought up the topic. "And if you're looking for someone to write your breakup songs about, baby I'm perfect," the comedian read some lyrics which Directioners believed were about Swift while Styles tried hard not to laugh.

"Now listen," he continued, "I don't want to have any bad blood about this. If you don't want to talk about this, we can shake it off... who's the song about?"

Styles didn't immediately reply. Instead, the 21-year-old heartthrob uncomfortably scratched his nose and burst into laughter as the crowd cheered before telling Corden, "It's open for interpretation."

"Obviously, you write a lot of stuff from personal experience, but it doesn't necessarily have to be so literal," he explained. "People can interpret a lot of different things in different ways. And I'm not going to tell someone it's not about what they think it's about, because I think the whole point is - it's about whatever it means to you."

"Perfect" is the second official single off "MITAM", following "Drag Me Down" that peaked at No. 3 on Billboard Hot 100.
