More musicians have canceled their upcoming concerts in the wake of a series of terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday, November 13. One of those following in the footsteps of U2 is Coldplay, who decided to reschedule their performance that night "out of respect for the terrible events in Paris."
Their show was supposed to stream live on Tidal and KROQ from downtown Los Angeles' Belasco Theatre. Tickets for the Friday night event will be valid for a new date that's expected to be announced in a near future.
However, concertgoers who were already making their way to the venue when Coldplay announced the last-minute cancellation weren't left too disappointed. "We'll play a short set of old material so that your journey isn't wasted," Chris Martin and Co. said. "We send our love and prayers to the people of Paris. Love Coldplay."
Meanwhile, Justin Bieber refused to let the Paris attacks ruin the live-stream event called "An Evening With Justin Bieber" which he had planned to celebrate the release of his comeback album, "Purpose". On Friday afternoon, the Canadian heartthrob told his Twitter followers that the second show of the day would still go as scheduled because he wanted to "bring some light & hope to those hurting" in the incidents.
