The R'n'B singer also raved about his British singer pal's songwriting skill during the show, which was a part of his ongoing tour.

AceShowbiz - The Weeknd was joined by a surprise guest when he took the stage at Toronto's Air Canada Centre on Thursday night, November 5. During the show, which was a part of his "The Madness Fall Tour", the singer brought out Ed Sheeran to perform their collaboration "Dark Times" for the sold-out crowd.

Sheeran played his acoustic guitar while he and his duet partner traded verses amid the screaming fans. After the British gingerhead finished the song and left the stage, The Weeknd praised his songwriting skills in front of the audience.

"I've written with a lot of people in my life, but he is the fastest and most talented songwriter I've every worked with, ever," he said. "He worked so fast, if we stayed in the studio another week, we could have had a full album maybe."
