Another DC Comics villain is coming to "Gotham". Nathan Darrow ("House of Cards") has landed a recurring role as Victor Fries, one of Gotham's preeminent cryogenics engineers who later becomes Mr. Freeze.
The character is described as smart but "struggles to make meaningful connections with others." When his wife, Nora, falls ill with a terminal disease, Victor tries to figure out a way to freeze her before she dies, which leads him to become Mr. Freeze. The character will first appear in a November 30 episode.
In other casting news, "Once Upon a Time" has found Merida's (Amy Manson) royal parents. Glenn Keogh ("Sons of Anarchy") and Caroline Morahan ("Doctor Who") have been cast as King Fergus and Queen Elinor respectively.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, both of them will appear in a special two-hour episode set to air on November 15. In the said outing, Merida teams up with Ruby (Meghan Ory) and Mulan (Jamie Chung) for an adventure.
"Gotham" airs Mondays at 8 P.M. ET on FOX, while "Once Upon a Time" airs Sundays at 8 P.M. ET on ABC.
