The Falcon depicter says hiring a black director for the Marvel movie starring Chadwick Boseman is not important 'at all.'

Anthony Mackie weighs in on the search for "Black Panther" director. The actor who plays Falcon in Marvel Cinematic Universe doesn't think the upcoming movie about the first black superhero in mainstream American comics needs a black director.
"I don't think it's important at all," he told The Daily Beast. "As a director your job is to tell a story. You know, they didn't get a horse to direct 'Seabiscuit!' The thing is I don't think the race of the director has to do with their ability to tell a story."
The actor added, "I think it's all about the director's ability to be able to relate to that story and do it justice. I think men can direct women, and two of my greatest work experiences were with female directors. So I think it all depends. May the best man - or woman - win."
"Black Panther" is due 2018 with Chadwick Boseman playing the lead role. Before getting his solo film, the superhero will pop up first in "Captain America: Civil War" which is set for May 6, 2016.
