Lamar Odom remains in critical condition and he is currently suffering from heart failure, TMZ has learned. Multiple sources tell the website that the former Los Angeles Lakers basketball star is also having serious trouble with his kidneys and lungs after he was found unconscious at Dennis Hof's Love Ranch South in Pahrump, Nevada on Tuesday, October 13.
While his heart is unable to pump sufficiently to maintain blood flow to meet his body's needs, the 35-year-old basketball athlete is still in coma. According to the website, Lamar is breathing with the help of machines.
His ex-wife Khloe Kardashian is currently waiting for him by his side. As previously reported, Khloe flew to Las Vegas alongside her sister Kim Kardashian and momager Kris Jenner. A source told E! News that Khloe was "completely inconsolable and heartbroken" since the news broke.
Khloe had cut off her relationship with Lamar after she was allegedly ambushed and verbally attacked by the athlete in August. Though the 31-year-old reality star had "cut off contact with Lamar in the summer," she has been "worried about Lamar for a very long time," said the source.
Lamar was found unconscious with "mucus-type liquid coming out of his nose and mouth." He was then taken to a local hospital where the doctor intubated him. Due to his severe condition, Lamar was rushed by ambulance to a Las Vegas hospital for more treatment.
