The collaboration between One Direction and Little Mix at the Apple Music Festival in London wasn't intended to diss Zayn Malik despite a report first published by HollywoodLife. The webloid previously argued that the former member of 1D "can't be too pleased" with their collaboration.
During the event, Little Mix was the opening act for One Direction. The girlband sang their new hit single, "Love Me Like You". The webloid then speculated about whether or not "Little Mix opening for One Direction was an intentional jab at Zayn" given that he broke up with Little Mix's Perrie Edwards last month and quit One Direction months ago.
Zayn left 1D in March and said he still had amicable relationship with his ex-bandmates. However, the webloid later said, "We have a hard time believing there was no tension between [Zayn] and the boys." The publication added, "We are sure that Zayn wasn't thrilled to see his ex-girlfriend opening for his ex-band at the Apple Music Festival."
Despite the speculations made by the webloid, Gossip Cop was told that the diss report was "not true." The British bands' collaboration at the music event had nothing to do with Zayn and it actually had more to do with the bands both being in England and on the same label.
