Samantha Bee Reacts to Vanity Fair's All-Male Comedy Cover

The comedienne who will debut her new show 'Full Frontal' on TBS adds her own picture to the VF cover with an extra funny twist.

AceShowbiz - Samantha Bee has a hilarious response to Vanity Fair which put only male comedians on the cover for their center piece "Why Late-Night Television Is Better than Ever" in the magazine's newest issue. The funnywoman takes matters into her own hands by photoshopping a picture of her shooting fire from her eyes on to the cover.

Bee says that the all-male cover was "good," but the new picture with her on it was "better." Stephen Colbert, Conan O'Brien, Trevor Noah, James Corden, Jimmy Kimmel, John Oliver, Seth Meyers, Larry Wilmore, Jimmy Fallon, and Bill Maher are featured in the photo that stirred debate.

"What's conspicuously missing from late-night, still, is women," David Kamp wrote the accompanying article. "How gobsmackingly insane is it that no TV network has had the common sense - and that's all we're talking about in 2015, not courage, bravery, or even decency - to hand over the reins of an existing late-night comedy program to a female person?"

Kamp noted female talents like Chelsea Peretti, Megan Amram, and Jen Kirkman. The writer also mentioned that Bee had a new show "Full Frontal" on TBS and Chelsea Handler had her own on Netflix. He wrote, "Two female hosts plus the 10 men featured here is still a long way from a late-night that truly looks like America. But the next version of this story's opening picture will be that much brighter."
