The fifth 'Transformers' movie will reportedly have two storylines with the first focusing on Cade Yaeger as he tries to save the Earth while Optimus Prime is hunting down the Quintessons.

New tidbits about "Transformers 5" have emerged. Mark Ryan, who voiced Jetfire in "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" and Lockdown in "Transformers: Age of Extinction", shared everything he knew about the next film's plot so far during an appearance at a convention in the U.K. recently.
According to Ryan, as reported by Christian Post, the film would be undergoing dual directions. The first storyline will focus on Cade Yaeger as he teams up with the Dinobots and a few Autobots to save the Earth from an impending threat.
However, Optimus Prime won't likely be on Yaeger's team. The character which was last seen heading off into space to find the creators of his race, the Quintessons, at the end of "Age of Extinction" will reportedly continue the mission in the other storyline. Prime will meet up with Unicron as he hunts down the Quintessons that were also responsible for sending Lockdown to capture him.
"Transformers 5" is currently scheduled for release in the U.S. sometime in 2017. Mark Wahlberg has been confirmed to reprise his role as Cade Yaeger. There's still no official word on who will direct the flick, but Michael Bay who helmed the latest installment has been a strong contender for the job.
