The actress, who plays a key character in the 'Resident Evil' franchise, took to Instagram to tease fans with a bloody makeup photo.

As start date for "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" is approaching, star Milla Jovovich has shared a new photo which features a close-up look at herself with bloody makeup on her neck and chest. "Blood and scratches. Alice 'wounds' Make up test. #aliceisback #hero #makeup #residentevilmovie #capetowndiary," so reads the caption of the photo.
The photo does indicate that it is a makeup test for Jovovich's role as Alice, the female lead in the action thriller franchise. With her role as a killing machine, it is sure that Jovovich will be surrounded with blood in the upcoming movie.
The 39-year-old actress also shared another photo which features a yellow name tag with the word "HERO" written on it. Based on the caption she wrote, the principal photography will commence later this week.
Just like its movie predecessors, "The Final Chapter" will use Cape Town, South Africa as a primary filming location. Paul W.S. Anderson is set to return for the fourth time as director and writer of the Screen Gems franchise. Ali Larter and Wentworth Miller are also on board to play Claire and Chris Redfield respectively.
Serving as the last installment, the movie picks up after the events of "Resident Evil: Retribution", as the Project Alice is forced to race against time before the villainous Red Queen attempts to destroy the final remnants of humanity. It is due to arrive in the U.S. on January 27, 2017.
