Nathan Fillion Says 'Greatest American Hero' Is Due for Reboot, Wants to Play Booster Gold

The 'Castle' actor expresses his interest in playing either Ralph Hinkley or Booster Gold or another DC comic character Ambush Bug when asked which superhero he'd like to tackle.

AceShowbiz - %cNathan Fillion% thinks it's already time for "The Greatest American Hero" to get a reboot. The actor mentioned the character portrayed by %cWilliam Katt% on the 1980s TV series as well as DC Comics' Booster Gold and Ambush Bug when asked which superhero character he would like to play.

"I think I could take a pretty good crack at Booster Gold," said the "Firefly" alum at the 2015 Wizard World Comic Con Chicago. "That's kind of my niche - show-offy, vain. I think I could handle that - not too bright."

He also offered some alternatives. "I think Ambush Bug. Remember that guy? Little bit off his rocker. You'd never see my face," Filion said, before adding, "But I think 'Greatest American Hero' is due for a reboot."

Fillion has previously appeared in a big superhero movie, "Guardians of the Galaxy", where he played a monstrous prison inmate. He also has had a tie with DC Comics, having voiced Green Lantern in animated Justice League movies like "Doom" and "Justice League: Throne of Atlantis".
