A new trailer for Johnny Depp's upcoming gangster movie "Black Mass" has arrived for viewing pleasure. While a previous trailer offers a glimpse of Whitey Bulger (Johnny) household, the new video sees how he deals with his enemies.
The approximately two-and-a-half-minute video opens with John Connolly (Joel Edgerton) being asked about "everything" he knows about his "former boss and now fugitive, James Whitey Bulger." John says, "In the beginning, Jimmy was only a small town player. He's a very smart, discipline man."
Joel then meets Whitey, saying that he can help him but Whitey must help him too. The scene then sees Whitey shooting gun to the Italian mob. "Keep your enemies close," reads the message seen near the end of the video. "If he gives me his word, he will keep it," Joel says of Whitey.
Johnny and Joel star in "Black Mass" alongside Benedict Cumberbatch, Kevin Bacon, Adam Scott, Dakota Johnson, Peter Sarsgaard, Julianne Nicholson, Juno Temple, Jesse Plemons and Corey Stoll. Directed and written by Scott Cooper, the crime thriller will debut at the Venice Film Festival on September 4, before opening in U.S. theaters on September 18.
