The basketball superstar added fuel to the speculation, saying that he may star in the sequel to 1996's classic 'Space Jam'.

AceShowbiz - Speculation about "Space Jam 2" could be in the works has been running rampant for years. LeBron James, who was previously rumored to take a lead role, teased his possible involvement in the upcoming "Space Jam 2", saying that he may star in the sequel to the 1996 original "Space Jam".

In a question and answer session via his official Twitter account, the NBA star was asked by a Twitter user if he's doing the intergalactic sports movie. He mysteriously answered, "Maybe....... Guess we'll just have to wait and see. #LooneyToonsRock."

If the rumor is true, James will replace the basketball star role which is originated by Michael Jordan. The Cleveland Cavaliers player was first rumored to take part in the sequel in February 2014. However, he denied the rumor immediately. Earlier this month, the rumor was resparked following an announcement that the basketball player and his SpringHill Entertainment had locked a deal with Warner Bros. Entertainment.

James recently starred in comedy movie "Trainwreck" alongside comedian Amy Schumer, Bill Hader and John Cena. He also starred in and executive produced his own documentary "More Than a Game".
