'Star Trek Beyond' Stars Dance in On-Set Video
Movie

The stars of the third installment of 'Star Trek' movie series, such as Chris Pine and Idris Elba, recorded an on-set video to promote a fundraising project.

Months ago, J.J. Abrams collaborated with Omaze, a fundraising platform, which provided a first look at the set of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and gave one lucky fan a trip to the set of the film. Abrams does a similar thing for his upcoming "Star Trek Beyond". To promote the charity fundraiser, the cast members recorded a video on the Enterprise set of the new film.

The video features the likes of Chris Pine, John Cho, Idris Elba, Simon Pegg, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban and Anton Yelchin. The stars explain that by donating at least $10, fans will get a chance to win a walk-on role in the next "Star Trek" movie.

The lucky winner will also get exclusive behind-the-scenes visits and will be able to take a tour on the ship along with the film stars. Besides, the winner will be able to watch the filming process and get to meet some brand new characters.

However, the video doesn't share any new look at "Star Trek Beyond" as the sets had been seen in two previous installments, "Star Trek" and "Star Trek Into Darkness". The stars of the upcoming film end their announcement video with an impromptu dance party in which Elba break dances in front of other crew members.

"Star Trek Beyond" will follow the Enterprise crew on their five-year mission. Justin Lin directs the movie while the script is written by Simon Pegg and Doug Jung. The sci-fi adventure movie will premiere in U.S. theaters on July 8, 2016.
