The power couple won Top R'n'B/Hip-Hop Song Award for their 'Drunk in Love' while Hill joined the likes of Dr. Dre, P. Diddy and Elton John as a recipient of ASCAP Golden Note Award.

AceShowbiz - Jay-Z and his wife Beyonce Knowles were among those honored at the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers' 28th annual Rhythm & Soul Music Awards. During the ceremony taking place at The Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles on Thursday night, June 25, the power couple, along with Timbaland, won the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Song Award for their collaboration "Drunk in Love".
Jay-Z and Timbo were additionally named the winners in the Songwriter of the Year category. Other names honored at the event were Kid Ink and Jeremih who took home the Top Rap Song gong for their "Show Me" featuring Chris Brown, Bart Millard who bagged the Top Gospel Song honor for "I Can Only Imagine" and Lauryn Hill who received the ASCAP Golden Note Award.
The latter award was "among the most prestigious honors that ASCAP gives to songwriters, composers and artists who have achieved extraordinary career milestones." Hill joined past recipients of the prize, including Pharrell Williams, Dr. Dre, Alicia Keys, P. Diddy, Reba McEntire, LL Cool J, Jermaine Dupri, Stevie Wonder, Elton John and many more.
In addition to accepting the award, Hill was present at the ceremony to perform a medley of her hits. Other performers taking the stage during the evening included D.R.A.M. who did "Cha Cha", Jazmine Sullivan ("Forever Don't Last"), Migos ("Handsome and Wealthy") and gospel artist Smokie Norful ("No Greater Love").
