AceShowbiz - Gigi Hadid was seated next to her ex-boyfriend Cody Simpson on an airplane on Monday, June 22. The former couple jetted out of Toronto after attending the 2015 Much Music Video Awards on Sunday.
Cody didn't seem to be bothered by the slightly unfavorable situation by taking a funny picture of him and Gigi. The 18-year-old singer shared the picture on Snapchat along with caption, "When u get seated next to ur ex on a plane." He added a skull emoji at the end of the caption.
Gigi and Cody ended their romance back in May but there was no bad blood between them. At that time, a representative for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model said in a statement, "Cody and Gigi want each other to be in a place right now that allows him to only focus on his music, fans, and new message, while she can focus and continue building her career."
"They love each other dearly and have split up in hopes that growing on their own paths will bring them together in the future. They remain friends with no hard feelings and each other's biggest supporters," the rep added.
Cody's sister Alli Simpson later revealed that her brother and his ex-girlfriend still "care about each other immensely" and even continue to see each other's families.
Following the split, Gigi has been rumored to be dating Joe Jonas. They were spotted pet-shopping together in L.A. on May 13. On June 1, Gigi was spotted biting Joe's ear while posing for a picture in a photo booth. On June 15, the rumored couple went for a lunch together with her father in Beverly Hills.
