AceShowbiz - Kate Mara cut her shoulder-length hair into tousled pixie. The "Fantastic Four" actress showed off her brand new super short hairstyle at the Max Mara Women in Film event taking place at Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood on Monday, June 15.
For the occasion, Kate, who has slowly been turning her bright red hair into auburn over the years, stunned in raspberry-hued jumpsuit with a ruffled neckline by the brand. She completed her look with red sandals and an ebony handbag.
Ahead of the night out, Kate's hairstylist, Mara Roszak, shared a snap of the star sporting the new hair do which was long in the front and piecey in the back while already wearing the outfit for the event.
Judging from the snap, people may speculate that Kate chopped off her hair shortly before the event. However, she revealed that she actually got the pixie cut last month. "I actually chopped all my hair off like a month ago for a sci-fi movie called 'Morgan'," Kate shared with Fashionista about her new hairstyle at the event.
"But no one has seen it here yet because I've been shooting in Belfast," she added. "With short hair, you want to wear things with more detail or an interesting collar."
Kate attended the event to receive Face of the Future award from the brand. She joined last year's recipient Rose Byrne. "I feel extremely lucky and very excited about my career right now," Kate told the website.
