Producer Al Jean also reveals why Marge and Homer Simpson part ways and who comes in between the TV longtime couple.

AceShowbiz - There is trouble in paradise between Marge and Homer Simpsons in the upcoming season of "The Simpsons", thanks to Lena Dunham. Producer Al Jean says the TV longtime couple is going to legally call it quits and Homer will find a new love in the character played by the "Girls" creator.

"In the premiere, it's discovered after all the years Homer has narcolepsy and it's an incredible strain on the marriage. Homer and Marge legally separate, and Homer falls in love with his pharmacist, who's voiced by Lena Dunham," Jean spilled to Variety. "We'll have cameos from the other women from 'Girls'."

Marge and Homer have split before but usually got back together. "What the hell?" Whoopi Goldberg reacted to the news on "The View". "Homer, what about a sister? In the time that I've seen you, I've never seen you with a black woman. Or maybe Marge is just a light-skinned sister and they haven't said it."

Jean also revealed other things to expect from the new season due in September. "We have an episode coming up where Lisa befriends a homeless woman who turns out to be an incredible singer. The woman's voiced by Kate McKinnon, but the singing is done by Natalie Maines," he opened up.

"In another episode, Spider Pig makes his return. Sideshow Bob appears in a segment, and we finally see him do something he's wanted to do for 25 years," Jean added, referring to Bob's longtime goal to kill Bart Simpson.

"And we have an episode based on the film 'Boyhood'. It's a flashback/flashforward about Bart. We go to various points in his life and his life to come which I think came out really well."
