The 'Mindy Project' actress and her former 'The Office' co-star reveal the joint project when attending BookCon in New York.

AceShowbiz - Mindy Kaling and former boyfriend B.J. Novak team up in her upcoming second memoir "Why Not Me?" The former couple confirmed the collaboration when speaking on a panel at BookCon at the Javits Center in New York over the weekend.
"It's very early in the creative process," Novak said of the new book. Kaling added enthusiastically, "It's going to be awesome. We just started working on it. I love working with him ... and the ideas that we've had so far have been super exciting."
Kaling and Novak played on-and-off couple on NBC's comedy "The Office". She also publicly said that they dated in real life. She now calls the actor her best friend.
"The Mindy Kaling" actress released her first book "Is Everyone Hanging Out without Me (And Other Concerns)" in 2011. Her second tome will be published in September by Penguin Random House in a deal worth at least $7 million.
Novak is also an author. He released a collection of short stories and a children's book last year.
