'Ant-Man' Scribes Join 'Transformers' Writers' Room

Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari are added to 'Transformers' writers' room to work on the live-action movie of the film franchise.

AceShowbiz - Some writers have been hired recently to work on the new projects of "Transformers" franchise. But, Paramount still looks for more writers as they picked "Ant-Man" writers Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari to join the writers' room, according to Deadline.

Paramount Pictures and director Michael Bay have planned to make some projects for their "Transformers" franchise such as sequels, prequels and spin-offs. It is said that one of the ideas in the works has a working title of "Transformers One" and that it is more or less an origin story that takes place on Cybertron, the planet where the good-guy and bad-guy robots hail from. The rumor says that "Transformers One" may be an animated version. Meanwhile, Barrer and Ferrari are expected to work a new live-action "Transformers" movie.

Barrer and Ferrari join already-enlisted scribes such as Robert Kirkman ("The Walking Dead"), Zak Penn ("Pacific Rim 2", "The Incredible Hulk"), Jeff Pinkner ("The Amazing Spider-Man 2") and duo Art Marcum and Matt Holloway ("Iron Man") as well as Akiva Goldsman who becomes the leader in the writers' room. They have assembled to work hard on the projects in order to finish it on time and they can nail down the next sequel, "Transformers 5", after Bay's done with Behngazi Siege drama "13 Hours".
