Movie

An image depicting a scene from the upcoming 'X-Men' movie suggests the movie is set in the 1980s.

AceShowbiz - A new concept art of "X-Men: Apocalypse" may have revealed Cyclops and Jean Grey's costumes in the movie. The image, released on Empire magazine (via Comic Book Movie), teases what young Cyclops (Tye Sheridan) and Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) will look like in the upcoming movie.

The image shows Cyclops fighting against an enemy who is unseen, but appears to be flying, and Jean Grey hiding behind the wreckage. A Pepsi sign in the background indicates that the scene is set in the 1980s.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" takes place a decade after "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and is a seamless next step in the story. The altering of time has unleashed a new and uniquely powerful enemy. Charles (James McAvoy), Erik/Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Raven/Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) and Hank/Beast (Nicholas Hoult) are joined by young Cyclops, Storm, Jean and others as the X-Men must fight their most formidable foe yet - an ancient unrelenting force determined to cause an apocalypse unlike any in human history.

Besides Tye Sheridan and Sophie Turner, the new cast members include Ben Hardy as Archangel, Lana Condor as Jubilee, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler, and Alexandra Shipp as Storm. Oscar Isaac, who plays the titular villain, recently said that his character "is the embodiment of the second coming of the judgments of God and that energy going in."

Directed by Bryan Singer, the superhero action movie is currently filming for a May 27, 2016 release in the U.S. Simon Kinberg wrote the script.
