Emily Beazley, the 12-year-old fan who got a call from the 'Bad Blood' singer in late April, passed away on Monday, May 18.

AceShowbiz - Emily Beazley, a young Taylor Swift fan who received a surprise call from the singer in late April, died on Monday night, May 18 after losing battle with cancer. Emily's mother Nadia announced the sad news on Facebook.

"My beautiful Emily got to use her angel wings. She fought hard to the end. Her last gift to me was passing peacefully," Nadia wrote, adding that a public memorial was being planned and the family was asking for privacy.

Emily was diagnosed with stage III T-cell lymphoblastic non-Hodgkins lymphoma when she was 8. The 12-year-old girl went into remission, but the aggressive form of cancer returned. Earlier this year, doctors said that the treatments wouldn't help Emily, so her family decided to stop her chemotherapy.

Taylor called Emily on April 28 for 10 minutes after her family and friends appealed for a call from the "Shake It Off" hitmaker via social media. They also included a video of around 200 children singing and dancing to Taylor's song.

At that time, Nadia said, "The smile on my daughter is one I have not seen in a very, very long time," before adding that Emily was so excited as she bounced up and down on a sofa. "When she was on the phone, she was completely star-struck. Emily thanked her for her music and told her what her music meant to her," Nadia continued.

Nadia said Taylor's manager offered the family tickets and a chance to meet the singer at her upcoming concert in Detroit on May 30.
