Beyonce Knowles took to Instagram on Thursday, April 30 to share her opinion on current Baltimore riots. Instead of using words, the "Run the World" songstress posted provocative video and photo to urge her fans to help people who are affected by the unrest in Baltimore.
The video was Time magazine's latest cover which juxtaposed a picture of civil unrest in 1968 and a 2015 photo of a masked protestor running ahead of riot police in Baltimore. The recent photo was written with, "America, 1968. What Has Changed, What Hasn't," but the year was crossed out and replaced by 2015 with red marker.
Beyonce also shared a photo of a man who draped a black-and-white flag, written with Freddie Gray's name and other victims of police violence in Baltimore, over his shoulder. The "Crazy in Love" hitmaker captioned it, "12 hours ago People are hurting. Join us in supporting the NAACP to help in the cleanup efforts and to provide housing, food and supplies to those affected by the unrest in Baltimore. https://beyonce.lk/naacp."
Beyonce was previously vocal about Trayvon Martin who was fatally shot by George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer, in Sanford, Florida in 2012. The songstress held a moment of silence when jury found George innocent in 2013. She and Jay-Z also attended a "Justice for Trayvon" rally.
