The actor who played the son of David Hasselhoff on the TV series was taken into custody on early Saturday for allegedly stabbing a man during verbal argument on Friday.

AceShowbiz - Jeremy Jackson was arrested for assault with deadly weapon on Saturday, April 25. The star who played the son of David Hasselhoff's character Mitch Buchannon on "Baywatch" was accused of stabbing a man in the stomach during a Friday verbal argument in West Lake, Los Angeles.

According to TMZ, Jackson rented a property through Airbnb to hold a party with some female friends on Friday. He, then, was hit and robbed of $2,300 by one of the partygoers. Jackson reportedly asked the victim, who was a gang member with a clown tattoo on his face, to help him get the money back but the man pulled a gun on him instead, forcing Jackson to stab the man in self defense. Following the incident, Jackson left the site and police were unable to find him.

The victim suffered a stab injury to his left upper torso and was rushed to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Centre. "The victim told officers, 'Hobie stabbed me,' " Los Angeles police detective Joe Rios said. "The victim did tell officers his assailant was a former 'Baywatch' actor. He was able to identify him."

On the following day, police found Jackson when they were called to the same area where the attack took place regarding another alleged burglar. Jackson was then arrested at 7:15 A.M. on a felony charge but released on Saturday afternoon after paying $30,000 bail.

However, Jackson's lawyer Harland Braun claimed that his client was "innocent" because the action was carried out to get his life and career back on track after the victim threatened to shoot him. "He says someone pulled a gun on him and he defended himself with a knife," the lawyer said.
