20th Century Fox released first official photos of "Victor Frankenstein" featuring the main characters which are portrayed by James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe. The two behind-the-scene photos give a look at McAvoy as the titular mad scientiest and at Radcliffe as his assistant Igor.

One of the pictures captures McAvoy and Radcliffe wearing vintage costumes while sitting next to each other. Radcliffe and McAvoy dress up in a red and green suit respectively. What may become a question for fans is that Radcliffe who portrays Igor does not appear to be a hunchback just like what the character is generally depicted.

McAvoy revealed short information about the character he plays and the script. In a statement to Empire, the "X-Men: Apocalypse" star said, "As much as the monster is his creation, Igor is his creation as well. That was quite exciting. It's funny, the script, but also really dark, in a cool way."

The movie was adapted from Mary Shelley's classic novel which is told from Igor's perspective. Also joining the cast are Andrew Scott, Mark Gatiss and Daniel Mays. Set for a release on October 2, the movie is directed by Paul McGuigan and written by Max Landis.
