"I'm so sorry to say, that after what was one of my favorite shows ever at Coachella, I have discovered I have broken my foot from leaping off the stage," she wrote, captioning a psychedelic picture of a foot X-ray. "Unfortunately while this heals, my performances will have to be somewhat stripped back."

"I'm so sorry, I'm pretty devastated, but I still want to do the shows," she continued. "I understand this is not what you were expecting, but I hope its just as enjoyable. I'm going to try and make it super special for you."

Welch added that she's expected to be fully recovered just in time for Glastonbury festival on June 24-28.

Welch's injury came while Florence and the Machine was set to play a string of shows to promote their new album "How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful" that's due out on June 2. "This album was so much about making something from what was broken, so lets see what we can do with this," she said of the project in the post.
