Comedian Bill Maher responded the criticisms over his Zayn Malik Boston Marathon bomber joke. Not feeling sorry about his joke, the host of "Real Time with Bill Maher" gave special message to all his haters and said that they were acting like "a teenage girl."

Maher compared the former singer of One Direction to the bomber of Boston Marathon Dzhokhar Tsarnaev on his "Real Time" show last week. He joked that the hair style between the two was completely alike. Following the rude joke, Malik's fans criticized the comedian on Twitter and asked him for apology.

After keeping mum for approximately a week, Maher finally fired back at the upset people during an interview with BuzzFeed. "I feel like any place that considers itself a serious journalistic enterprise and I certainly consider BuzzFeed to be that," Maher said after being asked about the controversy. "It's beneath their dignity to even ask about something that, really, is the province of teenage girls."

He then explained the point of his now-controversial joke, "We threw up a picture of the guy from One Direction and we threw up a picture of the Tsarnaev kid. They look alike. That's the whole joke."

He didn't think the criticisms were legitimate and addressed his haters as "a teenage girl." He added, " 'Do something useful with your life' is my response to the people who are asking for an apology. I understand why teenage girls are upset; they're teenage girls. Anybody else that is upset is acting like a teenage girl."

The comedian finished his remark, saying, "I don't know how we got to this place where we think that anything that gives us the least bit consternation we have to make a protest about it. Turn the page or flip the dial. Pick up the roll of quarters and leave the booth. Whatever it is. It's insane."
