In the wake of her Golden Globe win, Gina Rodriguez openly stated that she is eager to play a superhero role in the future. In an interview with E! News, the actress opened up about her dream part.

"I would love to be a superhero-that's all I want to do is play a superhero," so said the actress. "And let's be real, I could kick some ass. We all know I could kick some ass," she added.

Rodriguez furthermore shared that broader opportunities in the industry approached her since she won Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her starring role as Jane Gloriana Villanueva on The CW's comedy drama series "Jane the Virgin". "The opportunities become more abundant. People have been so wonderful," she told the site. "The opportunities for Jane the Virgin have become more abundant. We're now in 32 different markets in over 28 countries. People are picking up on the show who didn't know about it before. It's very exciting."

Gina Rodriguez was visibly emotional when accepting her Golden Globe last month. "Wow. Thank you god for making me an artist," she said during her acceptance speech. "Thank you to my entire cast. I am nothing without you. Thank you to my mom and my dad who tell me to dream big and never stop dreaming. Thank you to my sisters and my siblings...for being the biggest role models."
