Family decides to wean Bobbi Kristina Brown off medication that keeps her in coma so that doctors can get a better understanding of how dire her condition is.

AceShowbiz - Bobbi Kristina Brown is gradually taken off medication that keeps her in coma. The family makes the decision to take the daughter of Whitney Houston out of the medically-induced coma in order for doctors to get a clearer picture of her condition.

"There will be a sign of hope, and then nothing. Every day, we wonder if this will be the day that we get good news," a family member opens up to PEOPLE. "We're all hoping and praying that this will give us some answers."

Bobbi remains on a ventilator and feeding tube for now. "We're hoping for a significant change soon," says the family source, "but we know that it may not change anything."

Bobbi Kristina Brown has been hospitalized for nearly a month after she was found unresponsive by her "husband" Nick Gordon in a bathtub at her home. The incident happened nearly three years after her famous mother died in a similar manner.

While she is fighting for her life, her family and her beau are having a feud. Nick slams the family for allegedly banning him from seeing her in hospital but her father Bobby Brown claims her daughter's boyfriend refused to talk to police about what happened.

"He can say whatever he wants to say," the family member says. "We are leaving the investigation in the hands of the authorities. Our focus has always been Bobbi Kristina's health and recovery. That's all that matters to us right now."
