Sad news came from Julia Roberts as it has been reported that her mother Betty Lou Bredemus passed away on early Thursday morning, February 19 in Los Angeles. Julia herself has been in town filming her new movie "The Secret in Their Eyes (2015)".
Betty's death occurred just one year after Julia lost her half-sister, Nancy Motes, to an apparent overdose. Betty, 80, had been suffering from lung cancer. She is survived by Eric Roberts, Julia, and Lisa Gillan.
At the time of writing, Julia has not yet issued a single comment on her mother's death. It is also not known just yet on when and where Betty would be buried.
Betty Lou Bredemus used to be an acting school teacher and once ran an acting school in Smyrna, Georgia. Her first husband, Walter Grady Roberts, with whom she has Julia, died from throat cancer when the actress was just ten years old.
