Patrick Stewart May Appear in Next 'Wolverine', Confirms Ian McKellen's Appearance in 'Apocalypse'
Movie

The Professor Xavier depicter retracts his previous statement, saying that McKellen a.k.a. Magneto will appear in the follow-up to 'X-Men: Days of Future Past'.

AceShowbiz - Patrick Stewart drops a hint suggesting that he'll team up with Hugh Jackman's Wolverine in the next "Wolverine" movie. The Professor Xavier depicter shares the exciting news in an interview with Oregon Live. "What I'm very excited about is that we have been talking about a Wolverine movie, which would team Hugh Jackman and myself together," he said. "Wolverine and Professor Xavier. That would be a very different sort of X-Men from the four movies that I've already done."

In the chat, Stewart additionally said that Ian McKellen who plays Magneto in "X-Men" movie franchise would be featured in the upcoming "X-Men: Apocalypse". "I understand that it seems to be very unlikely that I will be in the next X-Men movie, which is almost getting ready to start shooting in Montreal," he said, before adding, "Magneto, Ian McKellen, is certainly going to be in it."

Back in January, Stewart shared a contradictory statement, saying that both he and McKellen would not be featured in the highly-anticipated movie. "I was learning quite a lot more about it last night, and it is going to be looking very much at the earlier lives of all our characters. And so I don't think we'll be making an appearance," he said.

"X-Men: Apocalypse", which is set in the 80s, has secured Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan and Alexandra Shipp as young version of Jean Grey, Cyclops and Storm respectively. Director Bryan Singer recently went to Montreal for scouting and teased what fans could expect from the upcoming movie. "I know. Old door. But there'll be something new behind it," he captioned a photo of what appears to be the door to Professor X's Cerebro.
