Fans of Tom Cruise will see the actor on big screen sooner than expected. His highly-anticipated movie "Mission: Impossible V" is now set for release in the U.S. on July 31 instead of December 25 as previously announced. Other movies released on that date include Jake Gyllenhaal-starring "Southpaw", "Point Break" and Ryan Reynolds-starring "Selfless".

Paramount announced the exciting news on Monday, January 26, adding that the previous slot occupied by the action flick would be taken by "Monster Trucks". The animated movie which features voices from Lucas Till, Jane Levy and Rob Lowe among others was originally set to arrive in U.S. theaters on May 29.

The follow-up to 2011's "Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol" is directed by Christopher McQuarrie and started filming last year. On Monday night, Cruise was seen filming a scene in London with Simon Pegg. In a photo taken from the set, Cruise can be seen sporting a suit and white shirt while the "Star Trek Into Darkness" star dressed similarly.

Other photos show the two actors getting into a vessel. Cruise can also be seen talking to staff during breaks. Apart from the two stars, the action flick also stars Alec Baldwin, Jeremy Renner and Rebecca Ferguson (II).
