According to a scoop from Latino Review, some stars have been tested for the roles which are played by Famke Janssen, James Marsden and Halle Berry in the previous "X-Men" installments.

According to the site, "Game of Thrones" star Sophie Turner and "Hanna" actress Saoirse Ronan have been tested for Jean Grey. Previous report mentioned that Chloe Moretz, Elle Fanning and Hailee Steinfeld were eyed to play the mutant.

For Cyclops, Tye Sheridan ("Mud"), Taron Edgerton ("Kingsman: The Secret Service") and Jamie Blackley ("If I Stay") are the contenders. Ben Hardy, Charlie Rowe and Timothee Chalamet were previously linked to the role. For the Storm role, meanwhile, the producers reportedly are eyeing Alexandra Shipp ("Straight Outta Compton") and Zendaya Coleman ("Shake It Up").

Oscar Isaac who was chosen to play Apocalypse back in November teased the baddie in a new interview with MTV News. "I've seen a couple things," he said at the the National Board of Review Awards. "Scary s**t. Scary s**t... I'm going to bring [the X-Men] down to their knees. It's amazing, I'm so excited about everything that's going to happen."
