'The Interview' and 'Sex Tape' Among Films on Razzie Awards Shortlist

In addition to James Franco and Seth Rogen's headline making film and the comedy starring Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz, 'The Expendables 3' is also included in the shortlist.

AceShowbiz - A shortlist for the Razzie Awards has emerged online, giving a look into movies which make it into the categories of the not-so-exciting award. Gold Derby has obtained titles which are to be acknowledged as the worst. Among them are Seth Rogen and James Franco-starring "The Interview", Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel-starring comedy "Sex Tape" and "Transformers: Age of Extinction".

"A Million Ways to Die in the West", which stars Seth MacFarlane, Charlize Theron, Liam Neeson, Neil Patrick Harris and Amanda Seyfried, showed up on the shortlist eight times. It is featured in various categories which included Worst Picture, Worst Screenplay and Worst Screen Combo for MacFarlane and Theron.

Another movie which makes multiple appearances in the list is "The Expendables 3" with six. The movie's entire cast members, which include Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham and Dolph Lundgren, are featured in Worst Screen Combo. The movie is also up for Worst Remake, Rip Off or Sequel category.

"Sex Tape", "Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas" and "Transformers: Age of Extinction" appear on the list five times. The fourth installment in "Transformers" movie franchise is even jokingly retitled to "TRANSFORMERS: AGE of EX-STINK-TION".

Voting for the Razzie Awards closes on January 10. The nominees will be announced on January 14 and the winners are out one day prior to the Oscars which will be held on February 22. Lists from other categories are available at Gold Derby.
