AceShowbiz - Kathy Griffin never ceases to surprise Anderson Cooper when they're co-hosting CNN's New Year's Eve telecast. After kissing his crotch two years ago, she toned down her R-rated antic this year. The comedienne gave a makeover to her co-host, dying his hair blue and pink.

"Just lean your head down a little bit, close your eyes, and we're gonna have a little bit of fun, shall we?" she tricked Cooper into falling victim to her prank. "All right, just trust me. This is temporary, and it shows how fantastic you are," she continued while rubbing some impermanent hair dye on Cooper's silver hair.

Once she's done, Cooper had pink streak on one side of his hair and blue streak on another side. "You've got to be kidding me," he said. "Oh my God, what have you done?" He later took to Twitter to ask for tips on how to get rid of the temporary hair dye. "Anyone know how to get red dye out of hair? Thanks @kathygriffin. Does [Ryan] Seacrest have to deal with this kind of thing?" he wrote along with a selfie showing the remaining pink streak.

Also during the live telecast, Griffin paid tribute to her late friend Joan Rivers by wearing her fur coat. "I love Joan, and she had it made for her in 1980, so you can apologize for [it being real fur], but I won't, because she would yell, 'It's real, I'm old!' " she said.

Cooper, meanwhile, took a jab at former CNN host Piers Morgan. When Griffin shared that she recently took a picture with Sidney Poitier and the British journalist photobombed the shot with his hand, Cooper responded, "Piers who?" He added that Morgan was "dying for a Twitter war," saying, "Listen, I hope he gets a job. One day. I hope he gets gainful employment."
