'Foxcatcher' Wrestler Mark Schultz Slams Director Bennett Miller
Movie

The Olympic athlete played by Channing Tatum is furious after some critics pointed out that the movie implied he had sexual relationship with former coach John du Pont who killed his brother.

AceShowbiz - Mark Schultz, the subject of "Foxcatcher", lashes out at director Bennett Miller. He initially praised the movie, but now has a change of heart. "Everything I've ever said positive about the movie I take back. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it," he tweeted and added for good measure, "I hate Bennett Miller."

Mark is played by Channing Tatum, and his brother Dave is portrayed by Mark Ruffalo. The two brothers were trained by disturbing coach John du Pont (Steve Carell) who later killed Dave. "Foxcatcher's scenes are mostly straight out of my book (except a few). But the relationships and personalities are complete fiction," Mark wrote. "I hate the way I'm portrayed."

In a Facebook post which was later deleted, he explained, "The personalities and relationships between the characters in the film are primarily fiction and somewhat insulting. Leaving the audience with a feeling that somehow there could have been a sexual relationship between duPont and I is a sickening and insulting lie."

"I told Bennett Miller to cut that scene out and he said it was to give the audience the feeling that duPont was encroaching on your privacy and personal space. I wasn't explicit so I didn't have a problem with it. Then after reading 3 or 4 reviews interpreting it sexually, and jeopardizing my legacy, they need to have a press conference to clear the air, or I will."

Mark continued to slam the director and even threatened his career. "You crossed the line Miller. We're done. You're (sic) career is over. You think I can't do it. Watch me. I can tolerate a lot of things but I can't tolerate disrespect. We're done Bennett," he went on. "If you're going to put 'based on a true story' at the beginning then tell a true story!!!!!!!!!!!! ... Throw that damn movie in the trash where it belongs."
