Samuel is challenging celebrities who 'poured ice water' on their heads to spread awareness of the challenges faced by black people in the wake of controversy surrounding Eric Garner's death.

Samuel L. Jackson took to Facebook on Saturday, December 13 to share a video of him crooning a protest song referencing "racist police." In the video, the star of "The Avengers" challenged celebrities who completed Ice Bucket Challenge to sing the "We Ain't Gonna Stop Till People are Free" song.
The "RoboCop" star said, "All you celebrities out there who poured ice water on your head, here's a chance to do something else. I challenge all of you to sing the 'We Ain't Gonna Stop Till People Are Free' song." He then started to sing the song which has been sung by scores of protesters during demonstration held in New York over the past week.
"I can hear my neighbor crying, 'I can't breathe,' " Samuel sang, "Now I'm in a struggle and I can't leave. Calling out the violence of the racist police. We ain't gonna stop till people are free. We ain't gonna stop till people are free." He then added, "Come on, sing it out."
The song was first heard after a grand jury decided on December 3 not to indict a New York City police officer who killed Eric Garner while putting him in a banned chokehold during an arrest. At that time Eric reportedly said the words "I can't breathe" multiple times as he gasped for air while dying on a New York sidewalk.
