The character posters of Warner Bros. Pictures' "Pan" have been unveiled. Hugh Jackman is seen among the official pictures as the bearded but bald villain, Captain Blackbeard.
The posters also reveal Levi Miller as Peter Pan. This version directed by Joe Wright portrays Peter as a young orphan in World War II who never grew up. He is kidnapped by Blackbeard's pirates and taken to Neverland. The other two key arts see Garrett Hedlund as Captain Hook and Rooney Mara as Tiger Lily.
Besides the movie's posters, some stills were released via Entertainment Weekly. Jackman's Blackbeard is no longer bald, but the hair is obviously a wig. And then there's a pirate ship which happens to fly above the clouds.
"This isn't exactly the Neverland story you know," Wright said about the adaptation of J.M. Barrie's classic tale. "Ice Age: Continental Drift" scribe Jason Fuchs wrote the screenplay. "Pan" will be released in U.S. theaters July 17, 2015.
