Raven-Symone took to Instagram on Wednesday, November 19 to slam report published by HipHipHangover.com which said she was molested by Bill Cosby when they appeared on "The Cosby Show". The site claimed the incident happened after the series finale in 1992, when Raven would have been around 6 years old.
Raven posted a throwback photo of her character on "The Cosby Show" along with caption, "I was NOT taking advantage of by Mr. Cosby when I was on the Cosby Show! I was practically a baby on that show and this is truly a disgusting rumor that I want no part of! Everyone on that show treated me with nothing but kindness. Now keep me out of this!"
Raven is the first "The Cosby Show" star which was pulled into Bill's ongoing scandal. The latest woman who publicly accused the 77-year-old comedian of sexual assault is supermodel Janice Dickinson. Janice alleged Bill raped her in 1982. Bill's lawyer Marty Singer later slammed Janice's allegation, calling it "a complete lie."
"You can confirm with Harper Collins that she never claimed that Mr. Cosby raped her, that no attorney representing Bill Cosby tried to kill the story...and no one tried to prevent anything she wanted to say about Bill Cosby in her book," Marty said in a statement, "There is documentary proof that Janice Dickinson is fabricating and lying about Bill Cosby."
In response to the scandal, Netflix announced on Tuesday that it postponed the launch of Bill's stand-up comedy special "Bill Cosby 77". NBC, meanwhile, announced on Wednesday that it halted the development of a new primetime comedy starring the actor.
