Courtney Love has landed another acting gig after tapped to guest star on "Sons of Anarchy". The female rocker has been cast on FOX's upcoming drama "Empire" in a recurring guest star role. She will play hard rock powerhouse Elle Dallas, "who is part of Empire Entertainment's stable of artists."

"Empire" centers on Terrence Howard's Lucious Lyon, the CEO of Empire Entertainment and a former street thug. When he learns he has a disease that is going to render him crippled and incapacitated in a matter of three years, he must groom one of his three sons to take over his crowning achievement, without destroying his already fractured family.

From Academy Award nominee Lee Daniels ("Lee Daniels' The Butler", "Precious: Based on the Novel PUSH by Sapphire") and Emmy Award winner Danny Strong ("Lee Daniels' The Butler", "Game Change"), the "sexy and powerful" drama also stars Taraji P. Henson as Lucious' ex-wife. Naomi Campbell, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Gabourey Sidibe are booked to guest star.

The drama series will launch January 2015 on FOX.
